GRIS Soundtrack - Rain Theme (Extended Version)

Available now to Nintendo Switch and PC.
Steam: goo.gl/SS4eqq

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities. GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulous designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.

Roland D-50 | The King is back!

For all PRACTICAL purposes the D-50 is the first VA synth even if its not a real VA synth per definition. If used in one of the structures that dont involve any PCM attack samples, it can sound very analog in a way that cannot be replicated by any other synths, including its own clones like the Boutique D-05, Roland Cloud, V-synth D-50 card add-on or the VST version. Only the original D-50/550 can sound like this.
The «fake» filters, the DAC and the way it crunches through the numbers (LA) to get down to brass tacks is so crisp and aliased that it sits on top of the food chain imo.

Growing up I listened to so much synth-pop and its only natural that my own music takes inspiration from many of the acts I loved back then. I still love them and listen to them!

Howard Jones, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Erasure, Thompson Twins, Tears for Fears, The Human League, Propaganda. FGTH, Ultravox, OMD, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Giorgio Moroder, Jean Michel Jarre, Jan Hammer, Alphaville, A-ha as well as loads of artists doing what is now called Italo Disco. And many more great acts like Nik Kershaw, Spandau Ballet, Wham, Dire Straits

Interview with Shinzan Roshi, Zen master and abbot of Gyukuryuji, Japan

Shinzan Miyamae Roshi is abbot of the hermitage temple Gyokuryuji, founded in the 1600s by Zen Master Bankei. He ordained as a monk at the age of 31, trained hard, and is now a deeply realised master. He is well known for taking a vigorous stance against teachers without genuine insight.

In this interview, recorded at Gyokuryuji in July 2014, Daizan Roshi (one of Shinzan Roshis Dharma heirs) asks him how he got into Zen and how he became a Zen master.

Over many years of strict training, both in Japan and in the UK, Julian Daizan Skinner Roshi received Dharma Transmission and permission to teach in both the Soto and Rinzai lineages of Zen. He now teaches at the Yugagyo Dojo in London, UK. For more information see www.zenways.org
