LYRICS
When I was nine I’d make believe
The good guy always caught the thief
The room went dark and I couldn’t sleep
I was in over my head
At 15 I would look around
And all my friends had it figured out
They all thought it but they never said out loud
I was in over my head
Oh I feel this vertigo
Sick of being an optimist
I’m trying, I’m trying
But I’m in over my head
I’m in over my head
Ohhh x2
Woo!
Cuz I’m in over my head!
I thought I’d make change happen overnight
I was 20 thought I had a good hold on life
Didnt know it at the time I was not alright
I was in over my head
Now I’m pretty sure at 26
That it isnt gonna be some little fix
The game wasn’t rigged by accident
I’m in over my head
Oh I feel this vertigo
Sick of being an optimist
I’m trying, I’m trying
Deep down it hurts to know
How bad I wanna call it quits
I’m trying, I’m trying
But I’m in over my head
I’m in over my head
Ohhh x2
Woo!
Cuz I’m in over my head!
Woo!!!
Yeah yeah yeah…
Cuz I’m in over my head
Oh I feel this vertigo
Sick of being an optimist
I’m trying, I’m trying
Deep down it hurts to know
How bad I wanna call it quits
I’m trying, I’m trying
But I…
I can’t hear myself though. I CAN’T HEAR MYSELF THOUGH. I CAN’T HEAR SHIT! It’s cuz my headphones aren’t plugged in!
I’ll do it live!
Waaaaaooooooo
Here is the recording of my very first sunrise set at Burning Man 2018 in the Black Rock Desert. I started playing around 5:45 am, the lights and lasers were still glowing in the cold darkness of the night..as the songs were passing by, the sky turned blue and the horizon warmer. Burners were all facing the deep playa, waiting for the sun to appear. It was an honour to soundtrack this moment and share music in such a magical place. No matter how hard I try, words can barely describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant… I hope music can express it better.
One more night
One more night till the morning
One more night
One more night till the day
Ill be right
Ill be right in the morning
Ill be alright
Ill be right in the day
But I believe it
One more night till the morning
But I believe it
One more night till the morning
Ill be trying
Ill be trying in the morning
Ill be trying
Ill be trying in the day
No more lies
No more lies in the morning
No more lies
No more lies in the day
But I believe it
One more night till the morning
But I believe it
One more night till the morning
Ill be holding on
Holding in
Ill be holding on
And holding in
Ill be holding on
And holding in
One more night
One more night till the morning
One more night
One more night till the day
Im on fire
Im on fire for the morning
Im on fire
Im on fire for the day
But I believe it
One more night till the morning
But I believe it
One more night till the morning
One more night till the morning
One more night till the morning
One more night till the morning
